What is pannel wagon?

A panel wagon (also known as a panel truck or panel van) is a type of vehicle that features a solid metal body with no side windows, except for the windshield in the front. The term panel refers to the fact that the sides of the vehicle are made up of large, flat metal panels, which were originally intended to provide a surface for advertising or branding.

Panel wagons were popular in the 1930s and 1940s, primarily among businesses that used them for deliveries, as well as for use by plumbers, electricians, and other tradespeople. Later on, panel wagons became popular with hot rodding enthusiasts who would modify and customize them into show-stopping custom cars.

Today, panel wagons are still used by some delivery and service companies, but they are also highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Classic panel wagons are often restored and modified for use as daily drivers or show cars, and can command high prices at auction.
